Myriapoda is an arthropod taxa, including millipedes, centipedes and others. Frupul comprises 13mii species total land. Although their name suggests that they have thousands of feet, the number varies from 10 to 750.

In some species juveniles hatch with a reduced number of segments and legs. Their number is completes in time during the moult.
