Toyger is a breed of domestic cat that was born in 1980. Judy Sugden created this breed of feline little to attract attention on the conservation of wild tigers.
Believed to be a cross between a Bengal cat breed and a striped domestic cat.
I say Toyger that resembles a miniature tiger. It is a combination of words in English (toy tiger).
The breed was recognized by the International Association of Cats in 1990.
Aspect Toyger cat
A standard head is medium in size and ears are small and rounded peaks.
The fur is brown with stripes of the same color but dark. Vertical stripes are generally aligned with margaje around the neck, legs and tail.
The tail is very long compared to body length. The legs are also medium in size.
Muscles are well developed.
Behavior Toyger cat
It is an intelligent cat with personality which, if learned by small animals, so can socialize with other cats and with dogs or other animals.
Can be a good choice for families with children as long as children are supervised.
Features Toyger cat
It is recommended weekly brushing to remove dead hair, avoid spreading it around the house and the cat's health.
Besides combing ears should be regularly checked and rare teeth.
It can be trained relatively easy to fetch or be walked with a leash.
He likes to play and do various tricks. Appreciate if offered a place for sharpening claws and something for climbing.
Diseases Toyger cat
Although it is generally recognized as a healthy cat, if not properly cared health problems can arise from genetic diseases. The most common problem is linked to heart disease.
If you want to buy a kitten Toyger is good to know at least one parent to see his personality.
Buy only from known breeders of pedigree. Beware of foods that can be prone to obesity.
